London Themed Gifts: 20+ London Gift Ideas for The London Lover in Your Life
Last updated on October 22nd, 2023 at 12:16 pm
There’s nothing better than a thoughtful gift, that’s personal to the receiver. If you know someone that’s moving to London, beginning their first job in London, or maybe just loves visiting the Capital, then these London themed gifts are perfect for something a little different. These London themed gifts are also ideal if you’re visiting the City and looking for something unique to take home, whether that’s for yourself or as a gift.
When visiting London you’ll find lots of souvenir shops and stalls (especially around places like Piccadilly Circus, the Southbank and Oxford Street) but let’s just say a lot of their stock isn’t generally the type of thing you would proudly display in your home. These London themed gifts are a little classier and a bit more unique than a tea towel with the tube map on, or an ‘I love London’ t-shirt (no shade if these are your kinda thing!).

London Themed Gifts: For Those Who Are Still A Child At Heart
These might just be some of my favourite London themed gifts; fun to build for any age and would look great on display once constructed. Judging by the reviews, these builds will keep any adult occupied for a while, so don’t underestimate their easiness! Find the Lego Architecture London Set , Lego Creator Red London Bus and Lego Architecture Trafalgar Square with National Gallery online on Amazon or in-store at John Lewis.

London Themed Gifts: For The Home
For as long as I can remember I’ve loved London themed home accessories, way before I even thought I might live in the City. If you choose the right things, London homeware can be really pretty and a fun way to add a splash of personality and colour to your interiors.
I just can’t look past Emma Bridgewater for London themed kitchenware; my mum and I both have the Cities of Dreams London at Night mug which is the perfect size and weight for your morning coffee. For a more playful style and slightly more affordable kitchenware, Cath Kidston is great. Their physical shops, including the flagship store in London’s Piccadilly, sadly shut last year but Cath Kidston is still available online, with some items on Amazon. Not just limited to kitchenware, they stock London print bags, pyjamas and toiletries to name a few. These would make great London themed gifts to take back to friends and family, as Emma Bridgewater and Cath Kidston are great quality and quintessentially British brands.

London Books
A pretty book always makes for an excellent gift, and the topic of the book can easily be tailored to the recipient. From cookbooks, to walking routes and the history of the City, there are a multitude of London based books that would make an excellent London themed gift. For those that like to get creative in the kitchen, I know so many people with the Dishoom cookbook who rate it highly. Who wouldn’t want to bring a taste of Bombay (via the London restaurants) to their kitchen? If you’re looking for a book with a little more variety in its cuisine, the Borough Market cookbook has four sections for each season of the year, capturing the essence of market shopping.
If your recipient is more into mixology, this book of glamorous cocktails from London bars would look beautiful on a bookcase or bar cart, or the Claridge’s cocktail book comes highly rated and would add a touch of glamour to any kitchen. For those that love a walk, this book contains over 20 walks around the city, or the London’s Hidden Walks series will lead the more adventurous off the beaten path.
I couldn’t write about London books as a gift without recommending the Pretty City London hardback, guiding readers beyond London’s landmarks and discovering the hidden gems. Colouring seems to be a hobby that is here to stay, and this Pretty City London colouring book will keep you amused for hours! If you’ve not got a colouring book or think it’s childish then I can’t recommend colouring enough; it’s so relaxing and a nice activity that doesn’t involve a screen. Just make sure you have some good quality pens to complete it with.

London Themed Gifts: Puzzles
I think it’s safe to say that puzzles have rocketed in popularity since the Covid lockdowns. I received a London puzzle last Christmas and it kept me occupied for weeks! The bright colours of most London puzzles keep them interesting, though they can be a little fiddly if there’s small details. There are hundred of London themed puzzles on Amazon, and I want them all! Some favourites are this scene of Tower Bridge, such an iconic London scene, and these puzzles of the London tube map or the A to Z map of London puzzle.

Where to Buy London Themed Gifts
If you want to take a souvenir home from a visit to London, I would recommend checking out some of London’s most well known shops. The likes of Liberty London, Fortnum & Mason (why not get a voucher for Afternoon Tea at F&M if you know someone will be visiting London soon), Carnaby street, Spitalfields Market and Camden all carry unique items that would make excellent London themed gifts. Also check out the gift shops of the museums and galleries for British-made gifts and keepsakes.

And there we have 20+ London themed gifts to suit all occasions and tastes (or for a little ‘to me, from me’ kinda gift that we all deserve from time to time!). The beauty of these London themed gifts is that most of them can be bought online as well as whilst in the City, so are ideal as a birthday or Christmas gift if you can’t visit London any time soon to buy them in person. Happy shopping!

These are some great gift ideas for London. The coffee cup is usually my go to for presents bc all of my family love to drink coffee. But I didn’t think of the puzzles as a gift that’s actually a unique idea.
