Anyone that knows me, knows that cocktails are my thing. An Espresso Martini, Mojito, Old Fashioned, Tom Collins; you name it, I love it. 2020 and 2021 were the years of drinking at home, and with the right equipment and a few key bases, cocktails are definitely not just confined to fancy bars. Since adding the passionfruit liqueur to our drinks trolley around a year ago, we have perfected a few cocktails with Passoa. Made with passionfruit juice and at only 17% alcohol volume, Passoa is a great with mixers or added to cocktails for that tropical taste.
So without further ado, here are four easy Passoa cocktails, to spice up your Friday evenings in, or to impress guests. There’s a variety of recipes, so whatever your tipple is, there’s a Passoa cocktail to suit you. It’s worth baring in mind that this is a deliciously sweet passionfruit liqueur, so if sweet cocktails aren’t your thing, you might wanna swerve this one.

The Haribo
First up is a London Lifestyle creation. And if I say so myself, this is delicious – probably my favourite of all the Passoa cocktails. Named ‘The Haribo’ as it tastes like a Haribo jelly cherry.
1 shot Vanilla Vodka (our fave here)
1 shot Passoa
Cranberry & Raspberry juice (to taste)
This couldn’t be more easy; if you want to feel fancy chuck all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with a couple of bits of ice and give it a good shake. Then strain into a martini glass.
Otherwise you could pour the vodka, Passoa and juice into a larger glass and mix with a spoon. Less fancy cocktail shaking, but less washing up!
Passionfruit Martini
We couldn’t make a list of cocktails with Passoa without including these beauties; Passionfruit Martinis are just a classic aren’t they? But trust me, getting the recipe spot on can be pretty tricky at home and it can often end up too sickly sweet. Top tip: make sure that youโre holding the top of the cocktail shaker when you start throwing it around and pretending youโre a cocktail waiter in a swanky bar. Last time we made these at home they contained edible glitter, and guess whose darling boyfriend sent that orange, glittery, sticky stuff flying all over our wooden floor? I was still catching bits of glitter when the sun shone in weeks later.
Makes one Martini:
25ml vanilla vodka
25ml Passoa
15ml vanilla syrup
15ml lime juice
1 passion fruit per cocktail
Cut the passion fruit in half, scoop out all of the seeds and put in the cocktail shaker. Muddle the seeds with the vanilla vodka. Add Passoa, vanilla syrup, lime juice and ice cubes. Give it a good shake, and strain into a martini glass, making sure there are no stray passion fruit seeds in there.
Serve with a shot of prosecco on the side.

Passoa Cocktail No. 3
Not the most imaginative name for a cocktail, but I had used all my creativity coming up with another London Lifestyle concoction. This is a lot more ‘juicy’ than The Haribo, and perfect if you love sweet cocktails. It’s super simple, but tastes so. damn. good.
1 shot Vanilla Vodka
1 shot Passoa
3 shots orange juice
3 shots Cranberry & Raspberry juice
Again, you could put this in a shaker with ice and strain into a martini glass, or mix in a short glass if you don’t have a shaker. I’d avoid putting ice in the cocktail, as nobody likes juice once it’s gone watery.
Also up to you which measures you want to use; a double of each of the vodka and Passoa, or a single. If you’re having it in a martini glass I would recommend a single of each spirit, trust me it will knock your head off otherwise!
Passoa Gin Crush
For those of you that aren’t the biggest vodka fan, this gin Passoa cocktail will hit the spot. Best served in a gin balloon, or Hurricane glass as pictured here, you could always swap the tonic for soda water or lemonade if you prefer.
30ml Passoa
40ml Gin
30ml Passionfruit Juice*
Tonic & ice, to serve
Mix the Passoa, Gin and Passionfruit Juice in your chosen glass, or shake in a cocktail shaker. Top with tonic (or alternative) and ice, and you’re set to go!
*Rather than hunting out Passionfruit Juice in the shops, the easiest way to do this is to buy a few passionfruits, scoop the middles out into a sieve and juice this way.
Passoa Cocktail shopping list:
Passoa | Vanilla Vodka | Vanilla Syrup | Gin | Martini Glasses | Gin Glasses
And there you have four Passoa cocktails to broaden your cocktail repertoire and impress any future guests. And what’s better, all of the alcohol can be bought on Amazon and delivered to your door. Cocktails without even leaving your house, the dream.

I’ve only ever tried Passoa once but I LOVED it! Absolut Vanilla is such a treat as well on the vodka front – was always my drink of choice during nights out ๐ Passionfruit martini is probably one of my favourite cocktails too, will have to give these recipes a try!
The LDN Lifestyle
So underrated isn’t it! I always used to drink vodka for nights out, definitely couldn’t stretch to fancy flavoured ones when I was a student though ๐ ah I’m glad they’ve inspired you! x

It’s so much fun to create new cocktails. My family got me a bar kit for Christmas last year, but I didn’t get as much use out of it this year as I had planned (unless you count Instagram Live happy hour with my husband haha! However, I’d love to play with Passoa and see what creations I like the best. You’ve got great recipes here!

That Passionfruit Martini sounds amazing! I could see myself sitting by the pool here at the house, with a martini in hand and enjoying the sunshine. You’ve got me dreaming of summer weather already and it just came to an end hahaha
